Subsurface - Geosciences - graduate opportunities
Graduates in Subsurface Geoscience disciplines (Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, and Data) will join the Subsurface network of approximately 1600 professionals across the company.
Subsurface ensures that Equinor finds, matures, and manages its hydrocarbon resources in a profitable, competitive, safe, and energy-efficient manner.
As a graduate in the Subsurface network, you will work within a multidisciplinary team and build your competence alongside colleagues from different backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to work in various areas, including Geological, Geophysical, or Petrophysical evaluations, Basin, Play & Petroleum System Analysis, Prospect Evaluation & Maturation, Well Planning, Reservoir evaluation, characterization, and modeling. Geoscience and Data Science resources may also be involved in technology development and implementation.

During the programme I’ve learnt a lot, and I think most of that is because of the job rotations. Each rotation is somewhat like starting a new job. You get to know different projects and work with different teams, and you also learn a lot about the different perspectives, challenges and risks that each project has.

We’re looking for graduates from the following degree subjects and disciplines:
Geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and other data science disciplines.
Additional education in areas such as technology, information technology, petroleum economics, and management could also be relevant.

Graduates in this area could be assigned to any of the following locations:
Norway (Stavanger, Harstad, Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Stjørdal) and Brazil (Rio)
