Subsurface – Reservoir and Production Technology - graduate opportunities

Reservoir and Production Engineer graduates will join the Subsurface network of approximately 1600 professionals across the company. Subsurface ensures that Equinor finds, matures, and manages its hydrocarbon resources in a profitable, competitive, safe, and energy-efficient manner.

As an engineer in the Subsurface network, you will work and deliver within a multidisciplinary team and build your competence with your engineering colleagues. You will have the opportunity to work in various areas, including reservoir- and production technology activities during exploration, early phase, field development, production phase, abandonment, and portfolio transactions. Subsurface graduates may also be involved in developing and implementing new technology.

During the programme I’ve learnt a lot, and I think most of that is because of the job rotations. Each rotation is somewhat like starting a new job. You get to know different projects and work with different teams and you also learn a lot about the different perspectives, challenges and risks that each project has.

Who can apply?

We’re looking for graduates from the following degree subjects and disciplines:

  • Petroleum Technology (reservoir and production technology)
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics, Cybernetics, and Automation
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics or Physics
  • Other scientific lines of university study
  • Additional education in areas such as technology, information technology, economics, and management are also relevant.

Graduates in this area could be assigned to any of the following locations:

Norway (Stavanger, Bergen, Stjørdal, Rotvoll, Harstad, Oslo).
