We work with some of Norway’s largest sports federations and support talent development in football, cross-country skiing and cycling.
We are an active partner when it comes to developing new talents and our programme encourages young athletes to focus on reaching their full potential while developing as people at the same time.
To become a good athlete, you need to be committed to major efforts in training while accepting advice from people who can help you further your career. This is why Equinor supports the athletes of tomorrow.
An important aspect for Equinor in all partnerships is also to assist our partners with competence transfer in safety, security and sustainability.
Our collaboration with the Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF) started in 2009, and the agreement includes activities from south to north in Norway. The collaboration includes talent development and age-specific national teams in cross-country skiing.
In addition, we support various events and projects such as Equinor Norges Cup, Equinor Ski Leaders of Tomorrow, and Equinor Education and Sports.
Equinor is also the main partner for the Opening Race at Beitostølen and the Youth Relay in Holmenkollen as well as a partner for the National Championships in cross-country skiing and Top Sports Week.
Equinor also assists NSF with competence transfer in safety, security and sustainability, especially in events.
Our collaboration with the Norwegian Football Association has lasted for more than 20 years. Equinor is the main partner for talent development within age-specific national football teams from 15-23 years.
Equinor National Team School and Equinor talent camp are activities in the portfolio. Together with TV2 and NFF, we have also awarded the "Football Talent of the Year" prize for many years.
Equinor has been a partner in the cycling race Arctic Race of Norway since its inception in 2013. Arctic Race of Norway has created a common arena in the north which is a unique opportunity for business and sports to get closer to each other across counties and industries.
The event also includes the Heroes of Tomorrow Race, where young talents from home and abroad can compete in the same arena as elite cyclists. Equinor also hosts a professional seminar for young cyclists where well-known profiles participate with competence transfer and value creation across sports. The awards for "Cycling Talent of the Year" and "Climbing Talent of the Year" have also been part of the event in partnership with TV2.
The partnership with NCF road cycling has been entered into to strengthen Equinor's collaboration with the Arctic Race of Norway and road cycling at a regional level. In addition to age-specific junior national teams, the collaboration also includes regional activities in the country's seven regions. Here, too, Equinor assists with competence transfer within safety, security and sustainability.
