Principle Engineer Platform Technician, DPN OTE MARINE TECHN SOUTH & WEST
What is your role and what is the best part of your job?
My role is Discipline Engineer Concrete Structures in Marine Technology. I work with technical integrity issues related to offshore concrete structures; mainly degradation mechanisms on concrete, and how to do inspections and repair of the concrete. One of the best things about my job is that I work across the installations. You can bring the best solution from one installation to the next. You also get to meet new people all the time whilst learning new things every day. There are not many people working in this field, and you find that your expertise is greatly appreciated. The opportunity to travel offshore and follow up the projects onsite is another part of my job I find very educational.

Out of the 4 Equinor values, ‘Collaborative’ is the one that fits me the best. Collaborative is an important value in my daily work.

A good and thoughtful development plan allows you to reach the goals you have set for yourself with the help of my leaders.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy the nature in the west of Norway and we have a cabin in the mountains that we often travel to. We love going hiking in the mountains, skiing and walking or paddling in the canoe and enjoying the silence. I am a keen photographer and when I really want to relax, I enjoy knitting.
