Coming together to promote gender equality in the energy sector. 

Women are still a minority in our industry and we want to highlight the need for more gender balance.

 

Our core values of openness and collaboration sit at the heart of our approach to gender equality. That’s why in 2019 we invited representatives from Equinor, Aker, CHC and Oil and Gas UK on an offshore flight to highlight the need for more balance in the gender diversity of the industry.

The all-female group, made up of pilots, senior leaders, engineers, geoscientists, offshore supervisors and technicians, represented the broad spectrum of opportunities that exist for women within our sector. 

Our industry is changing and the challenges we face require new ideas and different ways of working. Equinor believes that diversity of experience and background brings different perspectives to dilemmas and decisions.
