Reveal’s IMAGE Frac™ 2.0 pressure-based fracture maps has been chosen by E&P Magazine as one of the 14 winners of the 2018 Special Meritorious Awards for Engineering Innovation. The price was announced at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston.
The IMAGE FracTM technology enables operators to make informed decisions that validate a completion design on every well with minimal operational risk and cost, and has potential to replace the more expensive micro seismic approach. The technology is field-proven in more than 2,500 hydraulic fracturing stages throughout the US, with a broad customer base. Reveal’s pressure-based fracture maps was developed in the Statoil R&D department. Reveal Energy Services was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Statoil Technology Invest in January 2016, and is now jointly owned by Statoil Technology Invest and Lime Rock Partners.
