Discovered on the Halten Bank in June 2009, the Hyme field is located 19 kilometres north-east of the Njord A platform and is connected to the existing Njord A infrastructure.
The field development includes one production well and one water injection well drilled through a subsea template with four well slots
In addition to representing a profitable development in itself, output from the Hyme field will help extend the productive life of the Njord field.
In connection with the ongoing reconstruction of the Njord A platform the field is now temporarily shut down. Production is expected to resume in 2021. According to plans the adjacent Bauge discovery will then be tied back to Njord A via the Hyme infrastructure.
