Sommerstudentene våre er hovedsakelig studenter som har fullført andre året av en bachelorgrad til og med første året av en mastergrad.

De kandidatene som velges ut får muligheten til å jobbe i et av verdens fremste tekniske miljøer og lære om Equinor og bransjen vår.

Equinor har virksomhet på mange ulike steder over hele verden. I 2019 vil vi tilby stillinger for sommerstudenter i Norge, Storbritannia og USA. Varigheten på programmet er 6-8 uker (12 uker i USA), vanligvis i perioden juni til august.

I Norge og Storbritannia tar vi imot søknader til sommerstudentprogrammet fra midten av november til midten av desember 2018. I USA ble søknadsperioden avsluttet 19. oktober.

1. Online application: 
(From 15 November 2018 until 14 December 2018)
Complete the online application form and fill in your personal details. Attach relevant documents, for instance your CV, diplomas and recent transcripts. If you are in the process of completing a degree, please upload an official temporary transcript or other document describing subjects and grades completed to this point. Please remember to have temporary transcripts verified by relevant educational institution before attaching it to your application. If you prefer, you can use your LinkedIn-profile for registration.

2. Online assessment:
(Continuously - after the online application is registered)
Candidates approved for the next step will be asked to complete an online assessment which consist of numerical, logical, situational, and personality tests. The test should be completed no later than two days after we have sent you the invitation. Estimated total time to complete the tests is approximately 40 minutes.

After the online assessment you will receive a confirmation from us that we have registered your online assessment and you will be provided a link where you can access your individual assessment report. Equinor will then evaluate the applications and the test results and decide on which candidates who will progress to the next step, video interview. Invitation to video interview will be sent to relevant candidates.

3. Video interview:
(Four days to complete after you receive the invitation)
If you are successful in your online assessment, you will be invited to a digital interview. It’s a self-recorded video interview that you can perform from your smartphone or computer from any location with a stable internet connection. You will be asked some questions, get some time to prepare your answer, and then given a time slot to record your response. The recording can only be done once, so we advise you to use the preparation time well. The video interview can be completed at your convenience, but no later than four days after we have sent you the invitation. Estimated total duration of the interview: 25 minutes.

4. Offer letter
(From December to February)
Depending on volumes and when the application is sent, this may take some time, however it is our ambition to send our offers to successful candidates as soon as we can. We also aim to inform the non-successful candidates without undue delay.

Following a mutually signed offer letter, non-Norwegian citizens will be subject to an immigration process to make sure they are eligible to work for Equinor in time for their summer internship. The immigration process can be time consuming and thus it is important to start the process as soon as possible and that the candidate provides the necessary/requested information to our immigration service provider as soon as possible.

May 2018: Equinor has been ranked as the most attractive employer by technology students for the 22nd year in a row—also achieving high rankings with economics and IT students.

In the Universum awards for 2018, Statoil, now Equinor, was ranked the most attractive employer among Norwegian technology students for the 22nd year running. Universum Awards surveyed over 12,000 students at 25 Norwegian universities and colleges before making this year’s awards. Equinor achieved high rankings in several important categories.

“Economics students ranked Equinor fifth this year. This is a great improvement from last year’s 12th place in the survey. IT students ranked us 15th last year, but this year we have climbed to a decent 8th place among these students,” says head of learning and development, Andreas Holst.

Torbjørn S. Folgerø, chief digital officer in Equinor, received a special climbers award for this progress among IT students.
