Proud sponsor of UKA’21

For more than a decade Equinor has been UKA’s main sponsor. The collaboration between our two institutions has been and remains important as we keep turning natural resources into energy for people, and progress for society.

The energy transition is a huge challenge, but also a great opportunity, and we aim to take a leading role as the world progresses towards a net-zero future. Equinor’s ambition is to become a net zero company by 2050. To get there, we will accelerate our transformation, building on technological, industrial and financial muscles, but we cannot solve the challenge alone.

We must work together with the industry, with our peers and partners and with academic institutions like NTNU. In order to succeed we must ideate and collaborate on problem-solving and developing the new technologies and innovations our future needs, and we must do it together.

Where to find us during UKA

The energy transition is a huge challenge, but it also represents a great opportunity. Equinor aims to take a leading role as the world progresses towards a net-zero future by 2050 and we’re accelerating our transition.

Equinor’s goal is to be a global leader in offshore wind and the European leader in carbon capture and storage (CCS), whilst continuing to create value from an optimised oil & gas portfolio with as low emissions as possible. We will continue as Norway’s energy champion and we will become a leading energy player in selected international markets. Equinor’s strategic pillars remain: Always safe – high value – low carbon.

Together, we can find new solutions. That requires joining forces both inside and outside Equinor. We must work together, talk together, innovate together, and tackle the challenges together. On Thursday 7 October, you will have the opportunity to meet our CEO Anders Opedal and some of our young experts. They will tell you more about what Equinor is doing to become a leading company in the energy transition and look forward to hearing your questions and views.
