Equinor (formerly known as Statoil) established its Indonesia office in 2007, and has since then built an exploration portfolio in a systematic manner. Over the last few years oil and gas exploration in Indonesia has been shifting towards the eastern region of the country. In 2016, we acquired 3D seismic data in frontier and ultra-deep waters in Eastern Indonesia together with our partner OPHIR Energy.

Equinor has 20 employees at the office in Jakarta.
