This year’s conference focused on energy transition and what it will take to reach the Paris goals. The Autumn Conference is a joint event hosted by Equinor, the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum & Energy and the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The conference was opened by the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Kjell-Børge Freiberg. IEA Executive Director Dr. Fatih Birol and Martin Skancke, Chair, Principles for Responsible Investment joined as keynote speakers together with Eldar Sætre, President & CEO, Equinor. Dr. Carolyn Woo, the President’s Fellow for Global Development at Purdue University, USA, participated in a dialogue with the moderator and attended the panel dialogue together with the keynote speakers.

IEA Executive Director Dr. Fatih Birol will present the World Energy Outlook 2019. We are pleased to announce that Chair, Principles for Responsible Investment Martin Skancke and Dr. Carolyn Woo, the President’s Fellow for Global Development at Purdue University, U.S.A., will join the conference together with the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy Kjell-Børge Freiberg and Equinor President and CEO Eldar Sætre.
