Equinor Ventures invests in Sol Clarity

(UTC)Last modified

Equinor Ventures is pleased to announce a convertible note investment in Sol Clarity, a Boston-based startup that offers water-free automated non-contact solar cleaning, thereby increasing the energy yield and development feasibility of solar plants while decreasing their operating costs. Equinor Ventures participated in their $920k Seed I round.

This seed capital will accelerate Sol Clarity’s efforts to bring their technology to market and support their mission of promoting the growth of solar while preserving water. Sol Clarity’s patented technology, the Electrodynamic Screen (EDS), consists of rows of conductive parallel electrodes that charge dust particles obstructing solar panels with static electricity before sweeping them off the surface with a generated traveling electric wave.
