Core area for exploration
We’re continuing to sustainably grow
The Gulf of Mexico is a core area for Equinor today and key to our future strategy in the United States. As operator of Titan, partner in eight more producing fields and with two fields in development, we’re one of the most active companies in the Gulf of Mexico.
For the past two decades, Equinor has strategically built a portfolio of high value, low carbon intensity assets. This year, we're producing approximately 120,000 boe/day, making us one of the top five producers in the US Gulf of Mexico.
Equinor is one of the most active exploration companies in the Gulf of Mexico, with more than 100 exploration leases in its portfolio containing multiple prospects and leads. We are constantly adding new opportunities to the portfolio through lease sales and market transactions, and we expect to continue to drill exploration wells in the US Gulf of Mexico every year.
