Equinor is recruiting for the 2025 Graduate Programme, and we are looking for curious, creative and analytical students who want to help us maximise the value of Equinor’s global energy production, in a sustainable way.

As a Market Analysis & Trading (MAT) Graduate you’ll be working within market analysis, trading, low carbon solutions projects, asset optimisation, business- and new market development.

Our commercial team consists of roughly 1,000 colleagues globally, including traders, marketers, charterers, analysts, business developers and commercial operators. We are responsible for maximizing the value of Equinor's global production, handling marketing and trading, low carbon solutions, transportation, and market analysis.

We are looking for graduates for our offices in Brazil, Norway, UK, and US, and we are looking for those with both financial, commercial, mathematical/IT and engineering/ technical backgrounds. However, strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, energy market insight, and interest in the energy industry is essential for success.

What you can expect

As a Market Analysis and Trading graduate, you'll have the chance to rotate through a diverse set of roles, including trading related quantitative activities such as market risk management and trade desk analyst, commercial operational roles such as ship- and cargo operations, contracts and claims. Commercial roles such as business development, chartering, marketing and stakeholder engagement. In external analysis roles you may rotate into roles within macro-, political-, competitor and industry-analysis or fundamental market analysis and policy and regulatory analysis.

You'll also have the opportunity to be involved in low carbon solutions (LCS) projects like CCS (carbon capture and storage), and the transitioning to hydrogen production and marketing.

Additionally, you'll be able to contribute to new market development, such as carbon offset and low-carbon footprint certification.

Working with Market Analysis & Trading offers a broad range of opportunities, and the listed responsibilities are not exhaustive. Based on your educational background and interests we will tailor make a MAT graduate program that will fit our business need and your skills and interests.
