New diesel oil launched

June 7, 1999, 10:00 CEST

A new diesel oil which causes less pollution than earlier products was recently launched by Statoil in Denmark.

Introduced by the Retailing & Nordic Energy business area, this environmental diesel 50 grade contains 90 per cent less sulphur than existing types.

It replaces Statoil's environmental (light) and special (ultra-light) diesel oils and fulfils the lubrication requirements set by the European pump, engine and oil industry.

Statoil environmental diesel 50 is a slightly heavier product than the diesel grades it has replaced. This means that the new product yields more energy and cuts consumption by a couple of per cent, offering motorists better overall fuel economics.
