Greater value from the NCS(VEDLEGG)

January 14, 2003, 14:00 CET

Chief executive Olav Fjell is one of the keynote speakers at the annual conference of the Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) which is being held in Lillehammer, in eastern Norway, on 14 and 15 January.

The main message in Mr Fjell's presentation is that the Norwegian petroleum industry can create even greater value from the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) in coming years, while the opportunities for international growth are considerable.

He calls for active participation on the part of politicians and the authorities, to ensure that the framework conditions at all times facilitate continued activity and employment.

The conference, which is being organised for the 23rd time, has previously been reserved for politicians and industrial leaders, but has this year been opened up to the media for the first time.
