FMC Kongsberg awarded Oseberg J subsea station job

Hydro has signed a letter of intent with FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS for delivery of a subsea station to the Oseberg J development project. The deal has an estimated value of NOK 211 million (USD 30 million/EUR 28 million).

The contract is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) "call-off" covered by Hydro's frame agreement with FMC Kongsberg Subsea for subsea systems signed in 2000.

The Oseberg J subsea station is located at approximately 7 kilometers south-east of the Oseberg Sør platform at 100 meter water depth. The Oseberg J development consists of two production and two water-injection wells and a tie-back to the Oseberg Sør platform.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement and fabrication of a subsea station, including one 6-slot template that comprises foundation bottom structures, protection structures and manifold, four X-Mas trees with wellheads, and associated production control systems and tie-in systems.

Licensees in Oseberg J are: operator Norsk Hydro Produksjon (34 percent), Petoro (33.6 percent), Statoil (15.3 percent), Total Fina Elf Exploration Norge (10 percent), Mobil Development Norway (4.7 percent), and Norske Conoco (2.4 percent).
