New head of Communication in Oil & Energy

Hilde Tonne has been appointed as the head of Communication for Hydro's Oil & Energy business area. She takes over this position from Hege Marie Norheim, who will be the new head of the business unit Partner-operated Licences.

Hilde Tonne (38) leaves her current position as head of Commercial Strategy in Oil & Energy. She qualified as a chartered engineer from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Tonne has worked with gas strategy issues in Hydro since 2000, when she transferred from Saga Petroleum. In her new position, Tonne will be part of the top management group in the Oil & Energy business area. This will now be made up of nine persons, three of whom are women.

Hege Marie Norheim (37), who has been in charge of the communications department in Oil & Energy since February 2002, has been appointed as the new head of Partner-operated Licences in Oil & Energy.

This unit is responsible for following up Hydro's ownership positions in fields on the Norwegian continental shelf where other companies are operator.

Norheim qualified as a business economist from the Norwegian College of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen and in St. Gallen, and has previously worked as parliamentary secretary at the Prime Minister's office and in the Ministry of Finance. She takes over the new position from Elly Kristine Bjerknes, who has been appointed at project manager for gas power plant construction at Kårstø for Naturkraft.
