Hydro supports the relief efforts after the tidal wave catastrophe in Asia with NOK 5 million. The support is donated to Redd Barna (Save the Children), an aid organisation Hydro has cooperated with for many years.

–  We believe it is important to contribute to the massive relief efforts taking place in the Indian ocean region. Many children are hard hit by the disaster and we trust that Redd Barna, often in cooperation with other organizations, will do their utmost to decrease the suffering after this catastrophe, says Cecilie Ditlev-Simonsen, head of Corporate Communications.

Hydro has no operations in the areas struck by the tidal wave after the earthquake off Indonesia December 26.
