Putin visits Hydro stand in St. Petersburg

President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, paid a visit to Hydro's exhibition stand at "Economic Forum" on Tuesday. The conference is taking place in St. Petersburg between June 13 and 15.

Vladimir Putin performed the ceremonious opening of of the 10th International Conference "Economic Forum", and then proceeeded to visit the accompanying exhibition. On his tour of the exhibition he paid a visit to Hydro's stand. On this occasion Hydro was the only international exhibitor to be visited by the President.

Hydro's President and CEO Eivind Reiten took part at the conference on Tuesday and welcomed Putin to the company's exhibition stand.

The conference is about new technology in the energy sector and the increasing demand for energy. All forms of energy, including nuclear, solar, alternative energy forms and the development of power stations are on the agenda, as well as fundamental research.

Reiten used the opportunity to have several meetings during his visit to the conference in St. Petersburg, including meetings with Gazprom's managing director Alexey Miller. Reiten was also invitied to a meeting with President Putin, in which 15-20 heads of international companies took part.
