Loading back to normal

January 14, 2000, 11:00 CET

Loading of oil from Statoil's installations off Norway has returned to normal after the bad weather earlier this week.

High winds meant that these operations had to be suspended on Monday, but conditions have since improved and made it unnecessary to reduce or suspend production.

Statoil's Ã…sgard and Norne production ships in the Norwegian Sea were compelled to shut down for a few days last week, while output from the Gullfaks and Statfjord platforms was reduced.

Overall, the group's oil production was cut by 2.8 million barrels.
