Statoil has renewed a frame agreement with Solberg & Andersen for the maintenance of valves. The contract is worth around NOK 200 million including options.
The agreement covers the 250,000 valves on all Statoil operated onshore and offshore facilities, as well as installations under construction and planning.
Statoil’s evaluation manager for the contract, Knut Liland, says that the objective is cost effective repair and maintenance of the valves. New technology and efficient cooperation solutions can help to cut Statoil’s valve-related costs.
Solberg & Andersen, which is part of Bjørge Gruppen, has had the valve maintenance contract with Statoil since summer 1995. Through the new agreement, which takes effect from 1 April, the cooperation is extended by seven years including options.
