When the London Stock Exchange opens on Monday, September 24, Norsk Hydro ASA will be listed on the FTSE4Good index, a leading European reference for socially responsible investment.
The FTSE4Good index is based on benchmarking and other criteria that makes it easier to invest in companies that show good results in relationship with corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The FTSE4Good Selection Criteria cover three areas:
- Working towards environmental sustainability
- Developing positive relationships with stakeholders
- Upholding and supporting universal human rights
The index is updated two times per year.
"We are happy to now be listed on this index. It is natural for Hydro to want to be included," says Lasse Nord, vice president in Hydro's corporate health, environment and safety staff.
Hydro is also listed on the international Dow Jones Sustainability index.
