Less Norne oil due to bad weather

January 11, 2002, 09:45 CET

Bad weather conditions in northern Norway have led to reduced oil output from the Norne field in the Norwegian Sea. The field is currently producing around 30,000 barrels of oil per day, compared to the normal 210,000 barrels.

The bad weather is preventing oil loading. Production is also lower due to insufficient storage capacity on the Norne ship.

The weather is expected to improve over the weekend.
