Tune contract goes to Kværner Oilfield Products

Hydro today awarded Kværner Oilfield Products AS a contract for a subsea production on Tune, the gas and condensate field in the North Sea. The contract, for Tune A Phase 2, has price tag of NOK 66 million.

The total contract involves design work, procurement, manufacturing and testing of the well-head system, Christmas trees, control system and protective structures.

Design, procurement, manufacturing and testing will take place in 2004 and 2005. The well-head system is scheduled for delivery in autumn 2004, while the  rest of the equipment will be delivered in summer 2005.

The contract is based on Hydro's general agreement with Oilfield Products AS for the delivery of subsea equipment.

Tune is situated about 10 kilometres west of the Oseberg field centre. Production from the subsea installation on Tune is piped to the Oseberg D platform. Tune Phase 2, which  will have one well, is a satellite of Tune Phase 1.
