Troll C living quarters to be expanded

Hydro has awarded Leirvik Module Technology AS an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the expansion of living quarters on the Troll C platform.

The expansion is necessary due to significant modification work for connection and processing the oil from the Fram Øst field in the North Sea. The contract value is approximately NOK 55 million.

Fram Øst is located 19 km north of the Troll field in 360 meters of water. It will be developed as a subsea satellite with five oil producers and two wells for water injection tied into the Troll C platform. Production start up is planned for October 2006.

Partners in the Fram licence are Norsk Hydro Produksjon a.s (operator) with an owner share of 25 %, Mobil Development Norway AS with 25 %, Statoil ASA with 20 %, Gaz de France Norge AS with 15 % and Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS with a share of 15 %.
