Final Sygna contract

July 1, 1999, 10:25 CEST

A contract worth about NOK 160 million for Statoil's Sygna development has been awarded to the Coflexip Stena Offshore-Rockwater Joint Venture.

This assignment covers installation of subsea equipment, umbilicals and flowlines on the Norwegian North Sea field from November to next May.

The joint venture, which brings together Coflexip Stena Offshore and Halliburton Subsea Systems, has thereby secured the last contract to be let for the NOK 1.4 billion Sygna development.

Kongsberg Offshore has previously won the job of delivering subsea templates, while Aker Offshore Partner will modify Statoil's Statfjord C platform to receive the Sygna wellstream.

This field is being developed with a single template supporting two production wells and tied back to the C installation, which lies 21 kilometres to the south.
