Jørgen C. Arentz Rostrup has been appointed as Head of Sector, with responsibility for Markets in Hydro's business area Oil & Energy, with effect from 1 February.

Jørgen C. Arentz Rostrup (39) succeeds Hilde Myrberg, who has led the sector since 2002, but starts as Executive Vice President of Orkla 1 February.
Rostrup holds a Masters from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen. He started at Hydro in 1991, and has held various positions within finance, business development and commercial activity in Norway, Singapore and the US. Rostrup was responsible for establishing Hydro’s unit for renewable energy, and today heads Marketing & Trading within the Markets sector.
Rostrup commences as Senior Vice President of Markets on 1 February 2006. In his new position as Head of Sector, he will be part of the management team for Oil & Energy, and will report to Executive Vice President Tore Torvund.
Markets is the sector in Hydro that sells and markets gas, electricity and crude oil. The sector is also responsible for power production, as well as Hydro’s initiatives regarding new forms of energy.
