Reduced exports from Oseberg field center

March 7, 2006, 11:00 CET

Hydro experienced operational problems over the weekend at the dehydration facilities at the Oseberg field center in the North Sea. The problems led to a reduction in gas exports from Oseberg from the normal 25 million sm3 of natural gas per day to around 20 million sm3 per day.

Platform personnel began work to clean internals of the dehydration facilities on Tuesday.

Exports from the field center will be reduced to around 10 million sm3 per day during the work period. Daily export capacity is expected to reach 25 million sm3 from Friday this week.

Hydro is the operator of the Oseberg field, with a 34 percent holding.
