Vega gas and condensate flow from three subsea templates to the processing facility on the Gjøa platform.

Regardless of a challenging development, the partners on the Vega field have completed the development project on time and within budget.

“Our success is thanks to capable and enthusiastic employees, and competent suppliers and partners. Good cooperation with regional and central authorities has also been essential,” says Øystein Michelsen, Statoil’s executive vice president for Development and Production Norway.

He hosted the ceremony yesterday, marking the official opening of Vega. Representatives of partners, suppliers and the Norwegian government, and other guests, took part in the inauguration.
