Offshore contract awarded to Kvaerner Oilfield Products

Hydro has awarded Kvaerner Oilfield Products AS an EPC contract for subsea systems to the Fram Øst project in the North Sea. The contract value is NOK 360 million.

The contract comprises two four-slot templates for a total of seven wells including wellhead systems and Xmas trees as well as control systems.

Fram Øst is located approximately 20 kilometres north of the Troll field at a sea depth of 360 meters. It will be a subsea installation with five oil producers and two wells for water injection tied up to the Troll C platform. Production start up is planned for October 2006.
