     <p>All 317 personnel who were not involved in the handling of the incident were evacuated when hydrocarbon vapours were detected escaping from a flange in the crude oil plant at Mongstad.</p> 
     <p>Statoil’s emergency response organisation was established, the authorities were notified and the evacuation alarm was sounded at approximately 1245.</p> 
     <p>The cause of the incident will be investigated thoroughly. &nbsp;</p>

The leak which occurred at Mongstad today has been stopped, and the situation is being normalised. No one was injured during the incident.
