Oil production from Statoil's Statfjord B platform is being returned to its normal level after repairs to the fire-fighting system.
Output began to be stepped up again on the evening of 7 August after being sharply reduced for a day and a half.
This cutback was adopted for safety reasons after a routine check revealed deficiencies in the fire-extinguishing system.
Average daily production from the North Sea platform so far this year has been roughly 95,000 barrels, but it was down to 13,000 barrels yesterday.
It will be back to 75,000 barrels in the course of this evening, 8 August.
