Gas customers in UK industry and commerce are more satisfied with Statoil's Alliance Gas subsidiary than any other supplier, according to a new survey.
This is the first time Alliance Gas has topped the annual poll conducted by independent analyst Datamonitor.
Covering roughly 3,000 customers, the survey put the Statoil company in second place after Shell Gas last year.
Alliance outperforms its biggest rivals in many areas of the survey, including price, customer contact with account managers, preparation of tender and contract negotiations, and web site.
These results are described as tremendous news for both company and customers by Alliance Gas' managing director Sue Simms.
"It's also a great tribute to our staff, who are always looking to meet customer requirements.
"Alliance constantly strives for improvement in all business areas, and the positive response from those polled in this year's survey reaffirms the need for this process to continue."
