A new era in the group’s history began today, 18 June. At 10 a.m. chief executive Olav Fjell pressed the button to start the trading in Statoil shares on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
“The listing is a milestone for the group. We are now entering a new era,” said Mr Fjell during the opening.
In a few hours, at 9.30 a.m. US time (3.30 p.m. Norwegian time), executive vice president Inge K Hansen will ring the bell to commence the trading in Statoil shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), thereby listing the Statoil share.
Statoil is quoted by the ticker symbol “STL” on the Oslo Stock Exchange and “STO” on the NYSE.
