Morten Loktu, executive vice president for Technology in Statoil, is leaving the group to take up a position as president of the Sintef research foundation in Trondheim.
Mr Loktu (41) will continue as head of Technology until he leaves Statoil at the beginning of August but he is stepping down from Statoil's corporate executive committee with immediate effect.
