Statoil's annual report and accounts for 2002 have been posted to the group's net site today, 27 March. 2002 was a year of breakthrough for Statoil's international oil and gas operations, writes chief executive Olav Fjell in the report.
The results for 2002 are very good. International output increased by 28 per cent and the group gained operatorships in Venezuela and Iran.
Operations on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) are also substantial. The group is engaged in a hectic development phase, with operator responsibility for 12 development and modification projects.
The annual report contains information about Statoil’s activities through 2002, a review of operations in the group's business areas, information on health, safety and the environment, the group and society, theme articles and a thorough financial review and presentation of the group’s accounts.
Distribution of the printed edition will start on 7 April, with 75,000 copies printed in Norwegian and 22,000 in English.
