Meeting in Moscow

Hydro is represented during the visit of prime minister Kjell Magne Bondevik and petroleum and energy minister Thorhild Widvey to Russia this week, providing speakers and mounting a stand at the Moscow International Oil and Gas Exhibition.

Bondevik will meet Russian president Vladimir Putin and prime minister Mikhail Fradkov on Monday afternoon. During their visit, the Norwegian ministers will take part in several meetings at which energy questions will figure prominently.
 
President and CEO Eivind Reiten is part of the Norwegian industry delegation meeting prime minister Fradkov. He will also attend the dinner being held by Fradkov for the Norwegian delegation on Monday evening.

Both Bondevik and Widvey will also participate in a Norwegian-Russian seminar energy seminar on Tuesday morning.

MIOGE participation

The eighteenth international Moscow international Oil and Gas Exhibition (MIOGE) opens on Monday, when Hydro's stand will be opened by petroleum and energy minister Thorhild Widvey.

Hydro is also sending two representatives to the Russian Petroleum & Gas Conference, being held concurrently with MIOGE.

On Wednesday the head of Hydro's Shtokman project, Bengt Lie Hansen, will be one of the panellists in the discussion forum on opportunities and priorities for the Russian gas industry.

Meanwhile on Thursday Benedikt Henriksen, head of Hydro's supplier project in Northwest Russia, will take part in a discussion on oil and gas field development.

A number of briefings for the Russian media will be held in the course of the energy conference.
