August 15, 2005, 12:00 CEST

Factual information in Russian about Statoil’s Snøhvit project in the Barents Sea has been posted to the corporate web site at www.statoil.com.

It covers such details as the offshore development, the land-based plant, transport solutions, the market for liquefied natural gas, environmental aspects and technology.

The Snøhvit project has its own section at www.statoil.com, which is one of the most frequently visited parts of this site.

“Russia’s oil and gas industry is very interested in the Snøhvit development,” explains Kristoffer Marø, Statoil’s vice president for Russia.

“That makes it important to be able to provide key data on the project via our internet pages.”

Information about Statoil’s operations in Norway and internationally has been available in Russian since 1 July.

These pages can be accessed via the menu at www.statoil.com or directly at www.statoil.ru.
