Shutting down four more installations

The Oseberg C, Huldra, Veslefrikk and Brage installations are connected to the Oseberg Field Centre, where members of the Organisation of Energy Personnel (SAFE), Industry Energy (Industri Energi) and the Norwegian Organisation of Managers and Executives (Lederne) have been called out on strike.

Production from the fields served by these installations is now being stopped. Total value of the deferred production is estimated at NOK 150 million per day.

Production from the fields served by the Oseberg Field Centre, the Oseberg South platform and the Oseberg East platform in the North Sea, as well as the Heidrun platform in the Norwegian Sea, has previously been stopped.

“The Oseberg Field Centre is a key hub with important functions for the surrounding fields, and for that reason we have to shut down production on more installations,” says Øystein Michelsen, executive vice president for Development and Production Norway.

Employees who are not called out on strike, but work on installations where production has been stopped, will be kept busy in a rational way to the extent possible.

Due to reduced oil and gas deliveries from the NCS, the onshore Tjeldbergodden complex in mid-Norway will now be closed as a result of the strike, while parts of the Sture terminal production north of Bergen will be stopped.
