In 2023, increased levels of geopolitical conflict have made the energy transition more fragmented, and positive developments are in many cases offset by negative ones. Many parts of the world have experienced the ordeal of an energy crisis that has had global ramifications and hit several sectors. How can governments and industry forge a path forward to energy security, meet the need for decarbonisation of our energy system, and drive a just energy transition?
The keynote speakers this year were IEA Executive Director, Dr Fatih Birol, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Ambassador Christoph Heusgen, Director Norwegian Intelligence School (NORIS), Dr. Kristin Ven Bruusgaard and CEO Equinor ASA, Anders Opedal.
