Statoil is publishing its annual report and accounts and its sustainability report on the group’s web site at noon today, Friday 31 March.
The theme running through both reports is Statoil's internationalisation process. The directors write in their report that the group is in a strong position. A record result, production growth, development approval for 17 new projects and purposeful improvement work lay a good basis for Statoil's ambition to become a globally competitive group.
Social responsibility embraces more and more elements for Statoil as the group sets up operations in new countries. This is evident from the sustainability report. In the 2005 report we tell of our social responsibility strategy. In terms of our operations, this is presented through action plans for the individual countries, which demonstrate how the way in which we conduct our business gives meaning to the concept of sustainability.
The printed editions are due to be distributed to all the shareholders from 7 April.
