Supplier engagement

We recognise that our suppliers play a critical role in helping us realising our strategy and to address ethical and human rights issues in the supply chain. To this effect, we are committed to engage suppliers who comply with applicable laws and share the spirit and intent of Equinor’s human rights commitment. 

Among other things, this means maintaining high standards for ethics, health, safety and security, and having an approach to human rights consistent with the goals of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Our intention is to maximise the amount of competitive and compliant bids from the South-Korean supply chain to Equinor and to its suppliers.

Relations with public authorities 
To date, we have signed a general collaboration Memorandum of Understanding with all developers and Ulsan city and a 3rd party MoU with the Offshore Wind Project Countermeasures Committee and Ulsan City. We have entered these MoUs to foster the floating offshore wind industry infrastructure in response to the South Korean government’s renewable energy policy. They are a testament to our belief in developing floating offshore wind in this area.
